About Me

Meet the photographer

Hi, I’m Trina! And I’m a photographer based in Pocatello, Idaho. I photograph most types of sessions including families, seniors, portraits, weddings, couples, lifestyle newborns, and more. As you can see from my work, my photo editing style leans more on the side of true to color with my shooting style delivering a good mix of both posed and candid photos which I base off of your preferences. I strive for a fun and relaxed atmosphere that encourages everyone to feel comfortable enough to bring out those natural smiles and laughter. And if feeling uncomfortable in front of the camera is a concern of yours, I have ten+ years of photo experience under my belt that makes it possible for me to coach you through everything. You won’t ever have to worry about not knowing what to do, I’ll guide you every step of the way!

What a session with me looks like, start to finish:

My goal is to make your experience with me stress-free and fun from booking all the way to gallery delivery. To do this, I individually tailor each session to you by sending out a small questionnaire after booking to get a better feel for what you’re looking to get out of your session. To help with outfit selections, style guides are included to maximize outfit impact. Please, please don’t hesitate to ask for advice or help with styling, I’m always happy to help with color schemes and outfit textures that might look best in your chosen location. Speaking of locations, sometimes it really helps to see what Pocatello has to offer, so I also send over a location guide after booking with lots of possible places to shoot. Once at the session, I’ll guide you guys through different poses and fun activities that encourage laughter. Once I have your previews ready, you’ll get to pick your favorite images from that gallery, final edits will be done, and you’ll be able to download and print them however you’d like.

How I approach your session:

I love to approach your sessions through the lens of a mother, wife, sister, and daughter. Pretty pictures, but also make it fun haha. Im absolutely going to get you those posed pictures because we know we love to hang those on the wall. But I’m also looking for those special moments of fun and connection. Your sweet little toddler kissing you on the cheek, their little hands that will someday be bigger than ours, their contagious giggles, the giant family cuddle puddle, epic tickle fights, you and your fiance chasing each other across an epic location, a special moment of you and your love of 15 years, or the pure adoration on his face the moment that he sees you in your wedding dress for the very first time. I could go on and on! I’ll always be looking for those beautiful moments of connection to immortalize for you to hang on your walls forever.

A little about me:

I always love connecting over common interests, so here’s a little about me. I’d love to hear if we love some of the same things.

I grew up in a small town in Star Valley and eventually moved to Pocatello for college where I met my husband on a street corner. A week later, he paid me (a poor college student willing to make some extra cash) $80 to detail his truck, and now here we are with 3 kids. I’ve loved photography since my dad let me play with his camera as a teenager and really started doing it professionally after my first son was born. It’s a fun, creative outlet for me that allows me to be a mom and do something I love.

If I have free time (haha what’s that?), I love doing gem-art, puzzles, reading a great book, looking at beautiful home design, and listening to true crime, among other things that I can’t remember at the moment. I Love, love comfy clothes but I’m recently trying to discover some style. I love running my kids around to sports, it is so fun to watch them play. Really enjoying talking to funny people, probably because I’m so unfunny. I’m super great at coming up with semi-awesome comebacks, 2 days too late. Dirtbiking is a very recent thing we’ve picked up as a family, it’s been fun learning how to do that.

Some things I’d love to do: grow a garden (vegetables and flowers), get back into working out, learn how to decorate my home

That’s a little about me, can’t wait to see you!

Xo,

Trina
